Hi, I’m Caroline and I’m so glad you’re here!
In early 2024, I found myself at an unexpected crossroads. At 31, I'd just finished treatment for breast cancer and stepped away from my career in private equity — and somewhere in the blur of a busy professional life and young kids, I'd let friendships slip. I was lonely in a way I hadn't let myself admit.
Then, on a family trip to Birmingham, Alabama, I learned American Mahjong — and something clicked. I loved the strategy of the game, but what I really loved was the easy, instant connection with other women that I hadn't felt in years.
Mahjong has been bringing women together for centuries, and I'm convinced it's still the best way to meet your people.
That's why I started Windy City Mahjong.
